The NYC winter was getting me down (I think we were both developing a serious case of SAD), so we decided to jet to the Caribbean for some sun, sand & surf in Jamaica!

There are a lot of great things about Jamaica, but one of the best might be that door to door, it was about 5 hours from NYC. The flight was a little over 3 hours and the transfer from the airport to the resort was only about 20 min. Peter is great at finding lovely hotels, and he found Jamaica Secret's St. James resort (adults only & all-inclusive). The rooms were lovely, the beaches and pool were amazing and the food was better than average. It was basically 4 days of doing pretty much nothing while drinking Banana Daiquiris.

Pete made friends with the friendly local peacocks (and copies their bird call like a pro):

We found this amazing bed-swing that overlooked the bay but was shaded with giant trees - it was a wonderful way to lounge away the afternoon.
The next morning the winds were calm and I convinced Pete to join me for some morning SUP. Ahh! how I've missed paddle boarding. Pete did a great job on his first try on the board!
The resort looked so beautiful day or night:
And then, it was time to say goodbye :( I can't wait for my next getaway with this cute face:

Ahh! Looks amazing! And you know my favorite part is the packing pics. Even the clothes looked like they were having fun! So glad you have a cute travel companion to share in your incredible adventures!
