Pre-Fall Fun (Aug + Sept 2014)

Well, it's been an incredible summer!  The weather has been lovely - which means tons of time outdoors in the sunshine.  And I've actually been in town for the majority of the summer, which has been a really fun change from previous years.  Here's a little round up of a few of the things I've been up to:

w/Jenny, Anna & Julie @ The Frying pan
Central Parking it with the whole gang

Headed out to Staten Island to cheer on the Staten Island Yankees with Peter, Ken & Kara:

Allison and I road-tripped it to Boston to visit Maria & meet baby Logan:

Worked in some quality time with my pal Ollie (and Nina & John):

Celebrated National Dairy Queen Day by visiting the first Manhattan location (conveniently right around the corner from my apartment):

Saw my first concert at Barclays - THE ARCADE FIRE - wow:

Hit up the US Open with some friends from work - for an "offsite" - definitely my kind of work event :)

I spent Memorial Weekend partying it up all over Manhattan and Brooklyn:

Friday: Date night at my favorite West Village spot: Buvette, followed by drinks at the newly updated Bar Sardine.

Saturday: UofM game on Saturday at Jim & Carmen's in Brooklyn Heights, followed by dinner at Pork Slop & drinks at The Gate in Park Slope.

Sunday: BBQ @ Fletchers and then to Lavender Lake to celebrate Varun's bday (with pie from Four & Twenty Blackbirds) - all in Gowanus - and then Gate's house warming party in Prospect Heights.

Hitching a ride w/Niki, Varun & Lenny:

Monday: Headed to Becca & Brandon's just around the corner in Prospect Heights for a Lobster Boil!

Trekked out on a perfect late summer night to Citi Field and happily witnessed a victory: Let's Go Mets!

This photo is the visual definition of "dressing like we are NOT going to the same party" -
this is what happens when you date a fancy, hot-shot lawyer.

Followed by drinks & dessert @ Spirited Brooklyn

AHOYster Night Out with Rachel @ Grand Banks - where we proceeded to eat 84 oysters, a lobster roll and put back 7 cocktails :)

Broadway Date Night @ Hedwig & The Angry Inch.  WOW!  What an amazing show.  My theatre intake has risen exponentially in the last few months, thanks Peter :)

Worked from my "new office space" (ie. Marlton Hotel) while my apartment was getting cleaned.  The place is just divine, such a lovely back cafe area and a library with a fireplace up front.  The avocado toast was amazing.  Worked uninterrupted (except for delicious meals) for 5 hours.  It was a VERY productive day for me:

Peking duck tasting menu (and one of the best cocktail's I've had in a long time) @ Decoy in the West Village.
