Turns out folks in India aren't really into St. Patty's Day, so instead of imbibing copious amounts of Guinness, laast night the three of us scored tickets to the hottest show in town: Indian Ocean. They were performing at The Hard Rock Cafe - Hyderabad (which is a surprisingly 'hot' spot around here.
Elisabeth and I decided to stick with the local trend and hit the town in our brand new tailor-made Kurtas. We figured we'd totally blend in:
Now, we had it on good authority that Indian Ocean was just like Dave Matthews -- that didn't really turn out to be the case, but it was a great time regardless. You can check out full versions of their songs on youtube, or get a quick taste from my horribly amateur video below.
Despite our best efforts, we didn't really "blend" - we pretty much stand out no matter where we go -- but we did had a great time. We even got our photos posted on the local hotspot blog: Cluburb.com. The music was fun, the crowd was pumped and the Kingfisher was cold (and cheap - only $3/bottle):
It was good times!
Now off to Kerala for a week of vacation!! Woohooo!
